Eating isn’t just about shoveling the food into your mouth. It is also about the conversation and community created around a meal. Think back to some of your favorite memories. Is there food? What kind? Who are you sharing it with? Who do you wish you were sharing it with? That connection and community are as important to our health and our ability to feel feed as eating itself is. This is what I want to share with my daughter.
Where does one start when trying to raise a good eater so you can pass down the fun memories of your childhood? How do you make meal time fun and not stressful? I don’t know yet, but I am on a mission to find out and looking forward to sharing it with you.
I want to create ideas to make mealtime fun and other special food memories. Memories centered around holidays, birthdays, movies and other fun childhood events like the first and last day of school. Eating should not only be about good food for our little ones. On special occasions, it should also be extra fun and sometimes even a little indulgent.
